Emergency Supplies, things you should carry in your vehicle…
No matter where you’re traveling or how far you’re going, one never knows when an emergency situation will present itself. We all procrastinate, but taking the time to place a few things into our vehicles is essential, especially if you live and drive in a rural setting. With the onset of colder weather, now is a good time to re-evaluate what’s in your vehicle.
Everyone has their own personal level of risk vs. being prepared for the worst; so finding a balance somewhere in the middle is the key. It’s hard to plan for every possible circumstance, and vehicle capacity is another consideration, so modify accordingly from the list below.

Something important to keep in your glove compartment is an Automotive Emergency Escape Tool. The most popular ones serve two functions, the ability to cut a seat-belt and/or break a glass window. They are usually pretty small, so it’s easy to find a place to stow them within the drivers reach.
If you are finding it difficult to stow your emergency supplies, try purchasing a trunk organizer or plastic tub to keep everything from tossing about.
