Welcome to Tubbs Brothers.
 
Hi, I'm Dave Tubbs and I'm the owner of Tubbs Brothers.  We've been around for a while... since 1948.  My grandfather Clarence King started the business after WWII and my father Donald Tubbs and his brother Cecil took it over in 1954.  Since then we've seen a lot of change. But something that remains is that even as we have grown, we still sell and service cars one at a time.  When you do business with us you're going to talk to a real person, someone who likely has been with us for many years.  Yeah, we're kind of old fashioned but with a modern twist.  You pretty much do business with us without stepping into the dealership and you can communicate via chat, text, email or you can give us a call and talk to a real person.  So, no matter where you're from, local places like Sandusky, Marlette, Lexington, Port Huron, Caro, Saginaw, Lapeer or Bad Axe, or far away places outside of Michigan (we ship cars all over the country), we still offer the same friendly service.  We'll treat you with honesty and integrity and we'll sell you a good car, truck or SUV.  So if you see something here that interests you, reach out to us.  We'll do our best to help you.  And if you want to talk to the owner, give me a call.  My cell number is 810-404-7801.  If I can't pick up, just leave a short message and I'll call you back.  Because that's the way we do business here, real people helping real people. Our History...

In 1954 Tubbs Brothers, Inc. was founded by Donald and Cecil Tubbs.

Located in Sandusky, MI on the corner of West Sanilac and Austin streets, they sold Chrysler, Plymouth and Gulf gasoline.

In 1960 they acquired a Dodge franchise. Sales in the beginning were approximately $350,000.00 per year and soon their slogan was, "Right on the corner...Right on the price".

In 1970 the Tubbs Brothers acquired a Ford and Mercury franchise as well. Soon they found themselves out of space in the downtown facility and in 1976 began construction on their current facility located two miles west of Sandusky. In 1984, Cecil Tubbs, who had been a driving force in the service and sales department retired. As growth continued at the new location, the company expanded the body shop in 1990 and built a separate used vehicle facility in 1995. In response to the needs of customers and new technologies, a state-of-the-art collision center was built and fully outfitted in 1996. The old body shop has been renovated again into our automotive appearance and detailing center. In 2003 a million dollar renovation to the main facility was completed in which the entire building was modernized with a drive-in service write-up area, a Quick Lube Center and expanded and modernized service areas.
